			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A growing concern today in many so called first world countries is the problem of obesity. Most western countries, and even some countries in Asia, and Africa are developing problems with obesity and weight gain among the population.</p>
<p>To combat this problem, we need to understand the reasons behind it. There are two main reasons, and when you understand why these reasons exist, it can make it easier to do something about it.</p>
<p>The biggest reason is a simple lack of physical activity. It&#8217;s no secret that the less you exercise, the bigger your risk of gaining weight.</p>
<p>In the old days, people didn&#8217;t have to worry about exercise, because their jobs required a strenuous effort on a regular basis. In today&#8217;s world, however, many people are lucky enough to work at desk, or sitting down most of the day. This cuts down on physical activity, which can add to weight gain.</p>
<p>The easy way to combat this is get as much physical exercise in your daily routine as you possibly can. Use the stairs instead of the elevator. Park as far away as you can. Walk instead of drive if you aren&#8217;t going very far. Once it becomes part of your daily routine, you won&#8217;t really notice it. You&#8217;ll be surprised how fast the weight drops off.</p>
<p>Another big reason why people are suffering from weight problems is the kind of food we eat. Since most food is grown and sold all over the world, it is filled with preservatives to make it last longer. This is good for the food industry, but not so good for your and me.</p>
<p>This, of course, is not the healthiest thing to be eating on a regular basis. The best food to eat is the kind that is fresh and locally grown. When in doubt, check the label. If it contains any words that you can&#8217;t pronounce, it&#8217;s probably a good idea to choose something else.</p>
<p>By putting together these two ideas, you will make great strides in becoming healthier. After a while, these things will be automatic, and you can focus on more important things..</p>

<p>No matter whether you&#8217;re male or female there is most likely a spot or two on your body that you would like to change. Most people think that they need to get on a super diet or exercise plan to loose weight for their health but if you follow a few simple basic guidelines you will find that you can shed those extra pounds quite easily.</p>
<p>One of the first main things that you need to do is make sure that you are drinking enough fluids. It is recommended that you drink at least eight to ten 8 ounce glasses of water per day for good health. Most people drink about half of that. By drinking the right amount of water each day, you help your body to flush out unwanted and hidden fat.</p>
<p>By doing this you are going to discover that losing that extra weight is pretty simple. When your body doesn&#8217;t get the right amount of water, it starts to store as much water as it possibly can for the purpose of survival. This is what is known as water weight and getting rid of it is easy enough. As you drink more, you body determines that it doesn&#8217;t need quite as much and will begin to shed the weight that it put on.</p>
<p>Next you&#8217;ll need to get more active! There are a lot of people who get stuck in the rut that is their lives and don&#8217;t get the exercise that they need. Make sure that you change aspects of your life so that you do get the proper amount of exercise so that you&#8217;ll maintain your health and even make it better.</p>
<p>Another thing that you could try is parking at the far end of the parking lot, and by doing so you&#8217;ll have a longer walk to get to where you need to go. If you have the option, always go for the stairs instead of the elevator. If you do this, you&#8217;ll already be on your way to a decent exercise routine.</p>
<p>Always pay mind to the food that you are putting in your body! White bread and white rice should be off the menu immediately. Foods such as this will be the bearers of bad carbohydrates and as such will help you to put on weight rather than lose it. By opting for the right foods, you can still have the good tasting means without the weight gain that accompanies them.</p>
<p>Weight loss is not hard if you put your mind to it and make healthy choices. You will find that by making the small changes mentioned above, your extra pounds will easily melt off.</p>
<p>Just stick to your plan and watch what you eat. Be sure to keep up your intake of water so your body can safely flush out the toxins and unwanted fat fast and efficiently.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Who wants to lose weight and get healthy? Most people I imagine. Diseases caused by overweight and obesity are at epidemic levels in developed economies particularly, though countries in the developing world are catching up as economic development occurs there as well.</p>
<p>There are so many diet plans and fads out there. It is so confusing now if you want to get sound advice as to how to go about effective weight loss. And to make matters worse, everyone wants it to be quick and easy. Sound familiar ?</p>
<p>As an exercise physiologist, I get constantly bombarded with the latest fads but the basic principles still apply when it comes to weight loss or fat loss as it should more correctly be called.</p>
<p>The formula is still the same as it has always been. Energy output needs to be greater than energy input. Simple ? Well, yes and no. The hardest thing for most people is motivation; how and why to get started and how to develop good, ongoing habits for life.</p>
<p>The rest is just detail. You see, there are many machines, gyms, diets plans etc but these are all useless if you have no powerful reason to start a healthy lifestyle.  I have counseled many people who wanted to make lifestyle changes but were not committed to doing whatever it took to develop habits that would last a lifetime.</p>
<p>Most of exercise and health behaviour is all about change or substitution; out with the old and in with the new, presumably healthy routine.</p>
<p>So, how to make the change?  First you need to have a long, hard look at where you are currently. Have you put on much weight over the years? Is there are family history of heart disease?</p>
<p>There could be warning signs that you should change before something serious happens, like a heart attack. Once you have identified a powerful enough trigger, you are a long way toward making the change you need to make. But if the reason is weak and not truly yours, once the excitement of a new routine wears off, you may find you are back to square one. So look closely at the factor most influencing your desire to change.</p>
<p>So, be aware and make sure you start with a strong resonating reason for change. It is the most effective way to ensure you get off on the right path and this will enable you to stay the course when times get tough.</p>
<p>The never say diet approach is about lifestyle changes. It is truly the only way to reliably beat the fads and the failure of the quick fix approach.</p>
