Mental mind pictures spring into our head when we think of our ideal life scenario. We may visualize great trips away, having a large family home, a luxury car and perhaps a well respected position. It’s probable we’ll view our figure differently – with less body fat and a more toned physique.
Honing in on the new things we want to have is a good starting base when thinking of which goals we want to reach. If we don’t have an idea of how things will be when we’ve made it, the chances are we’ll never get there.
And yet before we can have the things we want, some changes must be made. The great Albert Einstein was quoted as saying that the definition of insanity is to do the same thing and expect a different result! And so, continue doing what you’re doing right now, and you’ll continue having what you’ve always had.
To have significantly more, we must change the way we think as well as the way we do things. Knowing that there’s going to be a deal of exertion to do to get the things we want to have isn’t a great revelation. That we have to give in order to be given is a fundamental law of life. But the rewards we want won’t just turn up purely from doing the work.
People who achieve much in life internalize winning attitudes along the way. They adopt the right behaviour and thought processes. So the individual who’s goal is to lose 30 pounds in the next 12 months has to become conscientious about nutrition and prioritise a certain amount of time to exercise each week.
Hanging out with friends comes after the work-out’s been completed. Success dictates that reward will follow effort. Results come all the sooner when slimming and good health are pursued with enthusiasm.
Winning isn’t a matter of chance. Maintaining a solid approach is an essential foundation to guard against the doubts and criticisms we may have to endure.
Associating with successful thinkers helps. We can do this by reading biographies and watching interviews of others who’ve emerged victorious after conquering their difficulties. The same message runs through each – that what they’ve achieved can mainly be attributed to the person they became and the work they did before the money started to come in. And so to sum up – If we do our tasks with relish, and be a winner in our minds, we can be assured to have the things we’re working for.
